Here’s a photo of Kurt Gödel and Albert Einstein, respectively mathematician and physicist (but I feel like I didn’t really needed include the latter’s discipline.) I’m not sure what it is about this picture, but it really moved me. Perhaps it’s because it depicts the biggest bromance in twentieth century science, or because I wrote a thesis on Gödel’s incompleteness theorems.

…or maybe it’s just Einstein’s suspenders and Gödel’s glasses plus double-breasted jacket doing the trick.

Such, such nerds.

It’s hard to think of Einstein as just a random old guy. I recognize his face more like a sculpture of a smart-person’s face, than that of an actual person that actually lived that actually was a genius. Regardless, adoring this picture is necessary.
